"Vancouver has taught me the value of sacrifice." The Olympic skier from San Sebastian praises his great performance in the giant sprint: "It's my test, I was very aggressive."

- Did you meet any of your idols in the village? - My idol is Alberto Tomba and I saw him at the giant sprint finish line. I didn't take a photo with him because I already had one from the last World Championships. But I'm bringing one with me and Bode Miller.

- Did you enjoy the opening ceremony? - Very much so. The coaches didn't want us to stand there for five hours doing nothing, but in the end we came to an agreement and marched. We were escorted by four helicopters to a football stadium with a capacity for 60,000 people. It was packed to the rafters. Although we didn't stay for the whole ceremony, as the next day we had the relegation, it was visually spectacular.

- What did you feel when you finished the descent? - I was already an Olympian, I had taken the pressure off. I had enjoyed it.

- It took four days before he competed again, but he showed all his virtues in an excellent super-G. - I finished in 35th place. I made a serious mistake with three gates to go which kept me from my ceiling, which I think was in the top thirty.

- Without the sponsors...- I would like to thank Bat Basque Team, Kutxa and Kirolgi and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. As for my sports brands Dynastar, Lange and Briko. Without all of them this would not have been possible.

- CAEI, your lifelong club? - I am delighted to belong to CAEI, I think that they have worked very well since we were young and for me it has always been and will always be my club.

- What would you say to all the CAEI children who are just starting out? - That it is hard, that you have to work hard but that with hard training the results come little by little.

- Are you aware that you have made history at CAEI and that you are a reflection for all young people? - It is an honour that children look up to me, but I think that what we have to convey to them is that it can be done, that I still have a lot of work ahead of me to be where I want to be and that I will continue to do my best.

- Where are the next Games being held? - In Sochi, Russia. They say that Putin started skiing there and liked it so much that he built a spectacular complex. Right now I'm thinking about the next World Cup and my daily work. But of course they are an objective.
