The Olympic skier says… «Vancouver has given me experience and made me want to go even further in this sport…»
- Did you meet any of your idols at the village? - You meet many of the greats at the village, and it's a pleasure to be there with them, to see how they train in the gym... I particularly liked meeting Didier Cuche.
- How come we didn't see you at the opening ceremony? - I couldn't attend, before going to Vancouver I participated in the junior world championships and time was very tight.
- What did you feel when you opened the gate of the supergiant? - At the start I was really looking forward to going down, giving it my all and enjoying myself. When I opened the gate, perhaps what I felt was relief, the best part was coming: going down, and the desire to row as hard as I could.
- It took a few days until you competed again. What do you do during those days? - You train on the track for the next event and do physical work to recover well, to achieve the best performance.
- Without the sponsors... Without Megasport (Dynastar, Lange, Briko) this would have been much more difficult. They have been supporting me for a long time and I am very grateful for that. And of course the sponsors of the RFEDI have also been very important, making it possible for us to have the necessary means to continue with a good programme.
- CAEI, your lifelong club? - CAEI has been the club where I have trained and grown. With which I did my first races, my first summer skiing trips... I have learned a lot at CAEI, not only about skiing. I have always received support from the club, and the origin of the path I have taken in this sport is in what I have experienced at CAEI.
- What would you say to all the CAEI children who are just starting out? - I would tell them to enjoy themselves and pursue what they want. Not to get discouraged when things go wrong, because they will go wrong many times, but if they manage to overcome the difficult moments, the good ones more than make up for them.
- Are you aware that you have made history at CAEI and that you are a reflection for all young people? - The truth is that I have not seen it that way. Going to the Olympic Games has been a great experience, but I am not satisfied at all, I want to achieve more and be much better.
